UN Brings Help

http://bosniagenocide.wordpress.com/2011/04/26/siege-of-maglaj-un-brings-aid-into-besieged-bosniak-town/#more-3158

It's hard to hear stories of people having to go to orginizations to survive. The people in Bosnia are no execption. The part of human society that makes us want to harm others is a part that some are more in tune with then others. It's the people that turn to harming one another that make the world both angry and scared. No one wants to hear about thousands of people having to live underground to avoid death. Personaly I might rather die then have to do that. The courage and perserverance of the Bosnians is something that hadn't been seen in Europe since the Holacaust. People don't deserve to have to do that to be able to be alive. The UN is a great orginization in the fact that they send help to the people thry need it. However the UN could have helped more if they had stopped the genocide in it's tracks. The soilders were told not to use force. The UN wouldn't have had to send as much food and medical help if they had done something to stop the murdering that had been going on. But the things that they did when they were able to help by giving the people food, medicine, and a shelter is something superb. It's hard to be able to do everything and while we can all hope that more can always be done sometimes it can't. We have to understand that one orginization can't be a robot and save the world.

  3. The difficulty is that we get distracted by everything around us and soon it's hard to remember things we were planning to do.
